Tt eSPORTS and BMW Designworks USA unveils Project LEVEL 10 M Mouse at CES 2012

Taipei, Taiwan － January 16, 2012 – Tt eSPORTS, the leading expert in professional e-Sports gaming and the best choice for pro-gaming products, celebrates the beginning of e-Sports product revolution with the collaboration of Thermaltake Group and BMW Group subsidiary DesignworksUSA and has once again successfully delivered another amazing product, completely renovates the design by imbuing e-Sports and cultural elements.

Thermaltake, the leader and the innovator of pro-gaming computer chassis, was thrilled when DesignworksUSA, a wholly owned BMW subsidiary, partnered with Thermaltake on the Level 10 chassis project. Thermaltake had chosen the design consultancy for a good reason: This Think Tank of BMW Group works in many industries with only one aim: To transfer know how between cultures, markets and industries in order to come up with most unconventional, innovative and consumer oriented design solutions. Level 10 chassis was elegantly created; an avant-garde of consumer product: The angles, the trims, the spacing and the overall view of the chassis were amazing and a revolution in terms of aesthetics and functionality. There was nothing like it at the time and the chassis represents the flawless teamwork between two industries, between two cultures, and within the same uncompromised commitment to delivering the ultimate creation by human imagination.

The revolution continues.
Continuing the dedication in perfecting the best gaming products, Tt eSPORTS, the subdivision of Thermaltake, takes over the challenge and is ready to extend the concept of Level 10 to e-sports gaming peripherals. Again, BMW´s subsidiary DesignworksUSA was challenged with the design concept and translated the Level 10 design language to a range of accessory products. The first product to be launched out of the new series of gaming peripherals is the Level 10 M Mouse. Inheriting the innovative Level 10 design language, Tt eSPORTS has bred a gaming beast equipped with highest and the latest pioneering features. As the leading expert in creating and delivering the best gaming experience to the world, Tt eSPORTS understands the true needs and expectations from pro-gamers and together with DesignworksUSA translated them into an uncompromising design, and some are considered challenges from the beginning:
First, there was the challenge of the geometrical design of the tower. We want it to be harmonized with an organic form language which ergonomic use requirements of 2 accessories made compulsory. Second, the designers set out to translate not transfer the design character of the tower to the gaming accessories. In this way the distinctive story of this product line was to be continued. Finally, the design team interpreted the task to an abstract level: Developing additional accessories meant to expand the design language of the “Level 10” to all the senses.

The Level 10 Design Insights:
• The most important part of all the equipment is the mouse since it directly influences performance and speed of the gamers. As it is not only touched but covered with the whole palm of the hand, ergonomics are a highly important aspect. The mouse has to perfectly fit with the gamers’ hand.
• In order to understand what interaction with their equipment means to gamers, DesignworksUSA conducted a consumer workshop (member amongst others, the European gaming champion) to gain even deeper insights into behaviors and preferences of today´s gamers.
• Detail on Mouse: All geometric planes are placed so that they create sharp edges on an overall ergonomic design.
